We have been working hard on developing our first automatic watch and we will soon release an automatic version of the Brooklyn 39 on Kickstarter!
The watch has visual similarities with the Brooklyn 39 Date, but will house an ETA 2824-2 Swiss Made Automatic Movement.
For those of you that enjoy the sweeping second hand as much as we do, sign up now to be the first to hear about the launch and receive exclusive sneak peeks!
The Brooklyn 39 Automatic will retail at EUR 465
On Kickstarter however we will offer early backers a discount of EUR 116
Meaning that you will be able to buy this high-quality watch for only EUR 349!
For our Brooklyn 39 automatic model we will use the reliable Swiss Made ETA 2824-2 movement. This movement has been around long enough to demonstrate its tough credentials, with the first of the modern 2824-2 models coming off the bench in 1982 already.
This self-winding movement has an oscillating weight spinning up a 38-hour power reserve. The balance runs at 28,800 bph (4Hz) and the movement hacks. A hacking movement is one that stops the second hand when you pull the crown to the time-setting position, so you can set it to the second. The movement has 25-jeweled bearings and the regulator is ETA’s own Etachron system.
