The MAEN service procedure is designed to ensure that every timepiece leaving a MAEN workshop complies with its original functional and aesthetic specifications.
Timekeeping accuracy and water-resistance are rigorously tested to guarantee the level of quality and reliability.
Typically it is suggested to have your watch serviced every 3 to 5 years.
After a service, it is important to wind your MAEN watch manually before wearing it for the first time.
To do this, unscrew the crown to the winding position and turn it clockwise about 20 times.
Please remember to screw the crown back down properly against the case in order to guarantee waterproofness.
The bracelet is detached from the watch case. The case is opened and the movement removed. Once disassembled, the case and dial will be fully cleaned.
Each functional component of the movement is carefully lubricated to minimise friction and prevent wear. This ensures that the movement of your MAEN timepiece will continue to perform accurately. Next to that your movement will also be checked if it is still running at Elaboré grade standards. ( 0/+ 14 seconds per day )
The case is carefully reassembled and all the seals replaced to guarantee waterproofness.
During the final check, timing accuracy and aesthetic appearance of your watch are verified one last time against manufacturing specifications to guarantee the highest possible standard of quality.
