Who is responsible

VÖC AB, organisation number 559061-5216, Styrmansgatan 16, 114 54 Stockholm, Sweden ("MAEN", "we") is responsible for the personal data described here.

Questions about your data, or a request to use your rights: support@maenwatches.com, subject "Privacy".

What we use your data for

Your order and its delivery. Name, delivery and billing address, email, phone number, what you ordered and the payment status. Card details are handled by the payment providers; we never see them in full. Why: to fulfil our contract with you. How long: order and invoice records for seven years, as Swedish accounting law requires.

Customer service, returns, warranty and repairs. Your messages to us, your order number, and what you tell us in the service form about your watch. Why: to fulfil our contract and the warranty. How long: five years after the case is closed, and order-linked warranty records for as long as the warranty runs.

Your customer account (if you create one). Email address, saved addresses and order history. Why: to fulfil our contract. How long: until you delete the account.

Newsletter, launch sign-ups and "Notify me". Your email address, what you signed up for and when, and whether you open our emails. Why: your consent. How long: until you unsubscribe – every email has an unsubscribe link.

Reviews. After a purchase we may invite you to review it. If you do, we show your review with the name you give. Why: our legitimate interest in sharing customer experiences. How long: as long as the review is published.

Our website: statistics and marketing. With your consent, cookies and similar technology measure how the site is used and show you our ads on other sites and social media. Why: your consent, given in the cookie banner. How long: as set by each service; you can change your choice at any time (see "Cookies"). One exception: Microsoft Advertising's tag loads on every visit to measure the results of our ads on Bing.

Security and fraud prevention. Information about your device, your IP address and how an order was placed; spam protection on our forms. Why: our legitimate interest in a safe shop and in preventing fraud.

Who we share it with

We share only what each partner needs, and they may use it only for us:

• Shopify – our online shop, checkout, payments and Shop Pay.
• Payment providers – Shopify Payments, PayPal and Klarna.
• Our warehouse and carriers – to pack and deliver your order.
• Service partners – to repair your watch, if you send it in.
• Mailchimp – newsletters and sign-ups.
• Yotpo and Trustpilot – review invitations and reviews.
• Meta (Facebook, Instagram), Google (incl. YouTube) and TikTok – statistics and ads, only with your consent.
• Microsoft Advertising – to measure the results of our ads on Bing.
• OpenFreeMap – the map on our Retail network page loads its tiles, which shares your IP address with that service.
• Authorities – when the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal data.

Some of these services are based outside the EU, for example in the United States. Transfers are protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the EU's standard contractual clauses.

Cookies

The site uses three kinds of cookies:

• Necessary – for the basket, checkout, language and currency. Always on.
• Statistics – to understand how the site is used. Only with your consent.
• Marketing – to show our ads elsewhere. Only with your consent, except Microsoft Advertising's tag (see above).

You choose in the cookie banner on your first visit. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie preferences" link at the bottom of every page.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• get a copy of the data we hold about you;
• have incorrect data corrected;
• have your data deleted, unless we must keep it (for example for accounting);
• restrict or object to how we use it;
• receive your data in a common format to take elsewhere;
• withdraw your consent at any time – this doesn't affect what we did before.

Write to support@maenwatches.com. We reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm who you are first.

If you think we handle your data wrongly, please tell us. You can also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, imy.se) or to the data protection authority in your own country.

Outside the EU. Depending on where you live – for example in some US states – you may have the right to opt out of the use of your data for targeted advertising. Use the "Your privacy choices" link at the bottom of the page.

Children

Our shop is not meant for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Security

We and our partners protect your data with technical and organisational measures, such as encrypted connections and limited access. No system is completely secure, so please don't send sensitive information, such as card details, by email.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
